If you live in the U.S., you can probably imagine a Cocker Spaniel in your head: a small dog with long, glossy fur, floppy ears with wavy hair and big brown eyes. However, there is an English Cocker Spaniel who do not conform to this stereotype! English Cockers are very different from American Cockers, but both are wonderful and charming dog breeds.

Spaniels, a member Fighter Group, dating from the 1300s, and perhaps undocumented existed before. Spaniels vary considerably in size, temperament, and use official. Bred for hunting, spaniels different materials have been divided into two groups according to their hunting skills: land and water. The main differentiating factor between the English and American Cockers are their coats. After been bred for beauty, coat of the American Cocker Spaniel is much longer, shinier and thicker than their English counterparts. The Cocker American has also been raised a bit lower, also results in the different facial features, like a short snout and more oriented Forward eyes. Despite the differences, the two races are absolutely charming.
