Can we change his name or is it too late?

We adopt a dog rescue shelter tomorrow. He is 4 years and an owner surrender. His name is Butch and he is a cocker spaniel. My daughter and I agree that we want to call it something else. We do not like Butch, it does not look like a butch. Do you think he is too old to change his name?

Nope. We adopted a dog 3 years old named Brusier, and it was not a fighter by any means. It took about two weeks, saying again and again and again, but he finally got his new name, and took it every time!
