Puppy help?

I have a cocker spaniel puppy. During the day she stays in her crate but I come home about twice a day to let her out to pee. She’s about 4 months old now but she still pees in her cage. I’ve tried to limit the amt. of water she gets during the day and come home even more to let her out but by the end of the day she has still peed in her cage. And the fact that shes a long haired dog makes it worse b/c I end up having to bath her almost every day! Any advice on what I can do to keep her from doing this???

she could be peeing from the stress of the crate, rather than the lack of bladder control. She should be able to hold her pee for 4 hours at that age. However, she will need to pee as soon as she wakes up..
I would first have her checked by the vet for UTI, as it is very possible since you are withholding water. Withholding water is not a good idea, as it causes UTIs.
If you can’t baby-gate off an area for her, I would recommend a doggy day care.. They will keep up potty training for you, and she won’t be as stressed.

Cockers are the breed most common to have incontinent peeing as reaction to stress. It is in no way her own fault.
