is it bad for for my puppy to bark when she sees me eating?
she starts barking so i can give her piece. Also, she cries when i dont put her on the bed to sleep with me ( she always sleeps on my bed ) Are those bad habits? she is a 14 week old cocker spaniel puppy by the way.
yes, they are bad habits. It can lead to her being aggressive later because she doesn’t see you as her leader. my dog used to bark to get food too, she only did it a few times, because i never gave in, i make her wait for her food, if she wants a piece of what i’m eating i’ll make her wait and then have her do a little trick so she can earn it. she slept on my bed too, but she started taking over it and wanted to sleep between my husband and me with her head on the pillow. then she had a hard time listening when we told her to move. so after all this she’s not allowed on the bed for a while. next time she sleeps on my bed, it will be because i invited her to. she now sees us more as leaders because we started enforcing the rules. she’s a lot less agressive too. before you couldn’t touch certain areas like her tail or paws, cause she would snap and try to bite. but now you can handle her well. we still got work to do, but she’s a much better dog. don’t let your pup get too spoiled, it can turn bad later. good luck!
